A Deeper Prayer

Dear Lord, we come before You with hearts that are often impatient and minds that are filled with questions. As we wait for Your answer to our prayers, we can't help but wonder what You are doing. Are You working behind the scenes to bring about the desired outcome, or are You using this time of waiting to refine and prepare us for what's to come? We know that Your ways are not our ways, and Your thoughts are not our thoughts. You see the bigger picture, and You know exactly what we need and when we need it. Help us to trust in Your sovereignty and to have faith that You are working everything out for our good, even when we can't see it or understand it. As we wait, give us patience and peace, and remind us that Your presence is always with us, guiding and directing us. May we use this time of waiting to draw closer to You, to seek Your face, and to listen for Your voice. May we be still and know that You are God, and may we trust that You will answer our prayers in Your perfect time.
