No Longer an Orphan - The Crosswalk Devotional - June 17
Scripture Focus
"See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are!"
— 1 John 3:1
A Deeper Prayer
Dear Lord, we come before you with grateful hearts, acknowledging the profound truth that we are no longer orphans, but your beloved children. Through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ, you have adopted us into your family, giving us a new identity and a sense of belonging that transcends our earthly circumstances. As we navigate the challenges and joys of life, remind us of our position as your children, and empower us to live out our faith with confidence and courage. May your Spirit guide us and direct us, helping us to trust in your goodness and love, even when the road ahead seems uncertain. As we grow in our understanding of your love and our adoption as your children, may our lives be transformed, and may we become beacons of hope and light to those around us, pointing them to the ultimate Father who longs to welcome them into his family as well. May we never forget the depths of your love for us, and may we always remember that we are loved, cherished, and valued as your precious children. As we pray, we ask that you would continue to reveal your heart of love to us, and that you would use us to demonstrate your love to a world in need of your embrace.
A Short Prayer
"Dear Heavenly Father, thank you for adopting us as your children through Jesus Christ, giving us a sense of belonging and purpose. Help us to live as your beloved children, reflecting your love and light to the world. May we always remember that we are no longer orphans, but daughters and sons of the King."
