Alex O’Connor Says Scripture Supports Slavery. He’s Wrong.

Scripture Focus

"There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus."

— Galatians 3:28

A Deeper Prayer

Dear Heavenly Father, we come before you with heavy hearts, grieved by the misguided teachings of Alex O'Connor, who claims that scripture supports slavery. We know that this is a gross misinterpretation of your word, and we pray that you would guide us in understanding the true meaning of scripture, that we may not be led astray by false teachings. We pray that you would give us wisdom and discernment, that we may be able to clearly see the truth of your word and not be deceived by the lies of the enemy. We pray that you would also give us courage and compassion, that we may stand against injustice and oppression, including the evil of slavery, and that we may be a voice for the voiceless and a refuge for the oppressed. May your word be our guide and our comfort, and may we always remember that all people are created in your image and are worthy of dignity and respect. We pray that you would bring Alex O'Connor and all those who are misled by his teachings to a true understanding of your word, and that you would use us to spread the truth of the gospel and to bring hope and freedom to all those who are trapped in bondage.

A Short Prayer

"Dear Lord, we pray for the truth of your word to be revealed to all, that we may understand the true meaning of scripture and not be misled by false interpretations, and that we may always stand against injustice and oppression, including the evil of slavery."
