Did Dinosaurs Exist in the Bible?

The Biblical Answer

The Bible does not directly mention dinosaurs by name, but it does describe creatures that match their description.
In Job 40:15-41:34 and Psalm 104:25-26, we find references to massive creatures like Leviathan and Behemoth, which some interpret as dinosaurs or dinosaur-like animals.
However, the biblical account of creation in Genesis 1-2 focuses on the creation of all living things, including animals, in a general sense, without specifying details about every species.
It's also worth noting that the biblical timeline and the geological timeline are not necessarily in conflict. According to Genesis 1:25, God created the beasts of the earth, which could include dinosaurs, before creating humanity.
The Bible's main focus is on God's relationship with humanity and His plan of salvation, rather than providing a scientific or historical record of every detail about the natural world.

"And God made the beasts of the earth according to their kinds and the livestock according to their kinds, and everything that creeps on the ground according to its kind. And God saw that it was good."

Genesis 1:25

A Prayer for This

"Dear Lord, help us understand Your creation and marvel at the wonders You have made. Give us wisdom to see Your hand in all things, and comfort us with the knowledge of Your love and care for us. May we trust in Your Word and Your plan for our lives."
