Can I lose my salvation?

The Biblical Answer

The question of eternal security brings anxiety to many believers. The biblical truth is profoundly comforting: Your salvation is not maintained by your perfect performance, but by Christ's perfect sacrifice. Jesus stated clearly that those who are in His hand cannot be snatched away (John 10:28).

If our salvation depended on our ability to stop sinning perfectly, we would all lose it daily. However, when you are truly born again, you are sealed with the Holy Spirit. While a genuine believer can stumble into sin (and will face loving discipline from God as a result), a true child of God will never completely fall away and be lost. Our security rests in God's faithfulness, not our own.

"I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one will snatch them out of my hand."

John 10:28

A Prayer for This

"Thank You, Jesus, that my salvation rests securely in Your finished work on the cross. When I stumble, remind me of Your grace and draw me back into fellowship with You. Amen."
