Prayer for peace when feeling lonely

As I walk through desolate places, Father, I reach out to you in loneliness. I acknowledge the feelings of emptiness within my heart. But I come to you, Lord, remembering your promises. Lord, you say that you will never leave me nor forsake me (Hebrews 13:5). Your presence is a constant reminder that I am never alone. Your peace that surpasses all understanding will guard my heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). I pray that in this moment, I feel the peace of God which passes understanding. I ask that you would fill my heart and mind with your love, filling the empty places where loneliness resides. In Jesus' name, I ask for this, and I trust in your ability to deliver. Thank you, Lord, for your presence in my life. Thank you for being a rock and a shelter for me (Psalm 61:3). I commit to resting in your peace and letting go of the weight of loneliness.
