No, seeking success is different from seeking glory. We ask for wisdom and ability to serve others, as it says in 1 Corinthians 12:7, 'The manifestation of the Spirit is given to each one for the profit of all.'
Can we trust in our own abilities or knowledge, or do we rely solely on prayer?+
We should balance reliance on our abilities with trust in God's providence. 'For God is our Judge, it is He who will save us' (Psalm 7:10), but still, we are called to study and prepare diligently in 2 Timothy 2:15.
What if I fail the exam despite praying for success?+
Failing an exam is not a reflection of God's love or care. As the Psalmist says, 'He will cover you with His pinions, and under His wings you may take refuge' (Psalm 91:4). We must trust in God's sovereignty, not just in our exams.
