A Prayer for Healing After Failure

Gracious God, I come to You feeling broken and defeated. I gave my best effort, and it wasn't enough. The failure I'm experiencing has shaken my confidence, my sense of purpose, and even my faith. I feel like I've let myself down, let others down, and maybe even let You down. But Lord, Your Word tells me that a righteous person falls seven times and rises again. Help me to rise, Father. Help me to see this failure not as a verdict on my worth, but as a stepping stone toward growth. Heal the wounds that this failure has left on my heart. Remove the shame that whispers I'm not good enough. Replace the lies of the enemy with the truth of Your Word — that I am fearfully and wonderfully made, that You have plans to prosper me and not to harm me, that nothing can separate me from Your love. Give me the courage to try again. Give me the wisdom to learn from my mistakes without being defined by them. Help me to extend to myself the same grace that You so freely extend to me. Lord, I surrender this failure to You. Take what feels like the end of the road and make it a new beginning. Use this experience to shape me, strengthen me, and prepare me for the good works You have in store. I trust You, even when I can't trust myself. In Jesus' mighty name, Amen.
