Prayer for a Newborn Baby: Blessings and Protection

Heavenly Father, we come before you with hearts full of gratitude and joy, thanking you for the precious gift of our newborn baby. As we behold their tiny hands and feet, we are reminded of the miracle of life and the promise of a future filled with hope and possibility. We pray that you would bless and protect them, surrounding them with your love and care. May they grow in wisdom and stature, and may their life be a reflection of your glory. As the Psalmist writes, 'For thou hast possessed my reins: thou hast covered me in my mother's womb.' We trust in your goodness and sovereignty, knowing that you have a plan to prosper and not to harm our child. Give us wisdom and guidance as we navigate the journey of parenthood, that we may raise our child in the fear and admonition of the Lord.
