Healing prayers for the sick and suffering

Scripture Focus

"The Lord will sustain you; he will never let the righteous go hungry. You young men will again strength, you will again build the old ruins, you will raise up the foundations of many generations; you will be called the repairer of the breach, the restorer of streets to dwell in." - Isaiah 58:11"

— Isaiah 58:11

Find comfort and healing through prayer when facing illness or suffering.

A Short Prayer

"Dear God, I pray for your healing touch to surround those who are suffering. Grant them rest, peace, and strength to persevere. In Jesus' name, I ask this, Amen."

A Deeper Prayer

Dear Heavenly Father, as we bring our loved ones before you, we ask that you would surround them with your loving presence. Comfort them in their illness and suffering, and grant them the peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Help them to trust in your goodness and sovereignty, even in the darkest of times. May your healing touch be evident in their bodies, minds, and spirits. Give them the strength to persevere and may they know that you are always with them, never leaving or forsaking them (Deuteronomy 31:6). In the name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior, we pray.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why do I feel abandoned by God in my suffering?+

God never abandons His children, but sometimes He allows us to walk through difficult times to grow in our faith and deepen our relationship with Him (Job 1:21).

How can I find hope in my suffering?+

Hope can be found in Jesus Christ, who is always with us and works everything out for our good (Romans 8:28).
